AMA will shortly begin accepting session proposals for AMA 2019 in Pine Bluff.  Share your expertise and professional knowledge with your colleagues from around the state. 

  • Deadline for session proposals: Nov. 1
  • Notifications of presenters: Nov. 15


Each year the Arkansas Museums Association (AMA) presents awards to celebrate and encourage excellence within Arkansas museums. Successful award recipients will be honored at the upcoming AMA Annual Meeting. 

  • Call for award nominations: Oct. 1
  • Deadline for award nominations: Jan. 4


AMA offers two types of scholarships to aid members in attending the annual conference - registration only and registration with a travel stipend. Recipients are acknowledged in the Annual Meeting Program and on the website. 

  • Call for scholarship applications: Oct. 1
  • Deadline for scholarship applications: Jan. 4
  • Notification of scholarships circulated: Feb. 1


If you or someone you know would like to be more involved in the AMA organization, please consider joining our Board of Directors. 

Elections for officers will be decided at the annual conference in March. Candidates are needed for the positions of Secretary and Treasurer.

AMA hosts a silent auction during the conference to benefit the AMA scholarship fund. 

Details on how to submit Silent Auction items will be coming soon.
