We're Going Green!!

We’re trying to go green with this year’s annual meeting!

Our host location has asked us to help them make this a green annual meeting and there are several ways you can help.

  1. We encourage you all to carpool to Pine Bluff and once at the annual meeting to continue to carpool from the hotel to the Arts & Science Center as well as any of the other conference locations. This would include evening events and Thursday’s lunch where we will be going to other locations. Not only does it help the environment but it allows you to spend time networking with colleagues.
  2. We encourage you to bring your refillable water bottles. The Arts & Science Center has special designed water fountains that accommodate most water bottles and this will help cut down on waste.
  3. We encourage you to bring tote bags and name badge holders from past annual meetings. We will have some badge holders at registration for first time attendees or if you forget to bring one. However, the Clinton House Museum has graciously agreed to sponsor a prize drawing for those who bring their own bags and name badge holders.
  4. During our breaks we’re going to use real coffee mugs and wash them rather than creating more waste.
  5. The Arts & Science Center has a number of recycle bins at their building so please be sure to take advantage of these.
