About AMA
The Arkansas Museums Association (AMA) was established in 1966 with the mission of advancing professional standards within Arkansas museums, fostering collaboration among museum professionals, and cultivating public advocacy for and engagement with museums in the state.
AMA's governance is overseen by a board of directors, elected by the association's members. This board comprises various positions, including the president, vice-president (who also serves as the president-elect), immediate past president, secretary, treasurer, two representatives from each of AMA's membership districts, a membership director, and a communications director.
