If you've ever wanted to make paper from your own fabric, join us May 22 - 24 as we host a three-day workshop by Combat Paper Project, a non-profit that works with veterans to transform military uniforms into handmade paper. Led by Drew Cameron, a hand papermaker and printer who served in Iraq and Afghanistan 2000-2006, the workshops emphasize interaction between military veterans and the public through the creation of handmade paper for creative expression. The workshop is free and open to the public. This workshop is very interactive and you can participate in all of the workshop or any part of it. Visit the museum website at www.arkmilitaryheritage.com for the schedule of events or call the museum at 376-4602. Partial funding for this program came from the Arkansas Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
