Educators! Join us at this Project WET special focus workshop -- Wetlands and Agriculture: Partners for Growth that follows the current 2014 Ramsar theme in celebration of wetlands and their important contributions to human and wildlife population. Never heard about the Ramsar Convention? Learn more here --

www.ramsar.org The Ramsar Convention provides the framework for national action and international cooperation for the conservation and wise use of these wetlands and their resources and has named specific wetlands of significant importance internationally. Arkansas has one listed on the international scene! Scan the site and discover which one made the list. The Ramsar Convention is the only global environmental treaty that deals with a particular ecosystem.

This workshop will provide activities tailored to the theme of the workshop. Guest speakers will take you through rice production and conservation of wetland habitat for wildlife. Arkansas feeds the world with its rice production. Learn about our state's contribution as a global food source, participate in Project WET activities, receive two FREE guides -- the new edition of the Project WET guide and W.O.W., the Wonders of Wetlands guide, earn professional development hours and have fun while doing so!  Register early for this excellent workshop
