This weekend, May 22-26, AIMM will be opening its doors to the public. It is to our knowledge that we are the first museum to open during the pandemic(if this is not true then let me know). Because of this, my boss has ask me to inform AMA of our status and to let you all know how we are handling the public.

    1. Both the Submarine and Tugboat are closed for tours, only the museum will be open
    2. We have added warning tape inside the buildings every 6-10 feet
    3. The tour guides will be turned into "Health Guides" to make sure the Social Distancing guidelines are enforce as much as we can
    4. Every staff member is required to wear a mask and gloves during their stay
    5. The public is required to sign a log book from the Arkansas Health Department; if someone refused to do so they are asked to leave
    6. The public is required to wear a mask; if someone refused to do so they are asked to leave
    7. If people are asked to leave and refuse to do so, we are to call the police

If any of you have questions, then let me know.

    Lyle Grisham

    Curator

    Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum
