IFCPP-IAASF-TRIDENT MANOR COLLABORATIVE WORKSHOP REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS THIS WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 30 Introduction to the Protection of Cultural Property Workshop This is an introductory level workshop, presented by Trident Manor Limited and the International Arts & Antiquities Security Forum, for those who have a need or desire to understand the threats that can impact their unique sectors, how varying threats manifest themselves, and the steps that can be taken to reduce the risks that they pose. This program has been ‘Certified’ by the UK's CPD (Continued Professional Development) Certification Service. This means that its structure and content have been assessed and approved as meeting the requirements to guarantee the continuous professional development of individuals across the sector. The program content has been devised following research and experiences gained whilst protecting Cultural and Heritage venues globally, and helps delegates identify, manage, and mitigate risks that exist within museums and other cultural venues. Workshop content includes: Understanding Hazards and Adversarial Threats Attack Methodology – The Attack Cycle (includes case studies) Situational Awareness Surveillance and Surveillance Detection Effective Operational Practices This program is ideal for those involved in operational activities including, front of house staff, invigilators, visitor service teams, curatorial teams, facility management organizations, and security personnel. At the end of the program, delegates will have increased understanding and awareness of the threats that exist, how they manifest themselves, and the proactive actions and operations that can be implemented to protect venues, visitors, and staff. This will be a LIVE virtual event, via Zoom, that will run approximately 4 hours. CPP., CSyP, FSyI), the owner and Managing Director of Trident Manor Limited. Andy is a security risk management expert having operated within international governmental organizations and senior corporate positions around the world. He has been involved in the audit, review and design of museums and other cultural venues for several years, and his training programs on cultural property protection have benefited more than 600 people operating in the sector.
Mr. Davis provides consultancy services, acting as an Advisor for national bodies in the UK, involving the exhibition, conservation, and management of cultural heritage. This has resulted in delivering services at over 30 museums, galleries and other cultural venues in the UK, Middle East, and Africa.
Andy is the Chair of the ASIS International Cultural Properties Council, and founder of the IAASF (International Arts & Antiquities Security Forum). He holds a MSc. in Security & Risk Management, and is board certified by ASIS International at the CPP accreditation level. Mr. Davis is a Fellow of the Security Institute, and a Chartered Security Professional (CSyP).
